Interesting idea!
Now I am looking at myflashxml full flash oscomm templates.
So far I’ve been able to change the looks of the template I bought but I’m having difficulty making the Oscommerce stuff to work. I removed all the preinstalled products and categories from the database and added one category and one product (pdf download file). This made all the dynamic menus in the Flash to disappear and now I get only one blank menu item. All other general purpose menu items (language, currency, manufacturer, …) are also gone.
But the main problem is, that these guys are of no help. They keep ignoring my emails. So if you, like me, are not familiar with Oscommerce (and Flash) you may want to stay away from these guys. After you’ve made the purchase, they will pretty much ignore you.
For those of you reading this, I ended up using Magento to create my ecommerce site. It is a new open source template which is much better than OsCommerce or anything else out there. You will have the option to buy a “skin” or “theme” for it to make your site look the way you like. I recommend templates-master.com They have many templates and themes and they will help you install and customize your template at reasonable rates.
I am very much interested in the flash ecommerce template you blogged about. Its amazing why alot of ecommerce site in the states are so primitive looking compared to europian or brazillian sites. Please let me where I can get the flex tech templates.
